The KIF1A Poland Association was founded in 2023 in Krakow on the initiative of Karolina Korneta-Bonar, mother of Weronika - a girl living with KAND. The aim of the association is to support patients and their families affected by KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder (KAND). Our mission is to create a strong and united community, spread knowledge about KAND and support research and initiatives that can contribute to the development of effective therapies.

We work to improve the quality of life of people with KAND through:

• • supporting families and patients in daily challenges,
• • cooperation with doctors, scientists and international organizations,
• • education and information activities,
• • participation in research projects and development of new treatment methods.

We believe that together we can accelerate the path to a better life for KAND patients and their loved ones.
